TRAININGS AND WORKSHOPS
We started in September 2008 to deliver our members a couple of trainings for the personal and technical development on a regular basis.
Topics range from a facilitators training, application and presentation skills, PM basiscs and much more.
In the future we aim to offer these courses on a regular basis and will align them with the contents of the ICB 3.0 to be delivering a balanced training in all of the three fields mentioned there. Currently we are able to offer about one event per month.
Please check out the event section on the German part of this website. Providing national German trainings and workshops in English is not planned at the moment.

Young Project Manager Award
At the 20th of June the 1st German Young Project Manager Award was granted by the German Project Management Association in cooperation with the Young Crew Germany.
The procedure was set up according to the IPMA YC standards. So it was awarded to young individuals who are demonstrating that they can make a difference to the project management profession in Germany and the companies and clients for whom they work.
A national jury reviewed the applications and announced the finalist. The award ceremony took place in Berlin. Additionally to the award, the winner will be invited to the German national conference in project management in October.
The Winner 2008
This year the prize was given to Lenhart Pundt and Gernot Halbleib who managed the project "Art - Economy - Harbour" in Hamburg, Germany. They managed to double the given budget for their project. By doing so they were able to conduct trainings, a vernisage and to print a catalogue. During the whole time the project was accompanied by a huge media presence.
30 Years GPM - The movie
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the GPM a 15-minute video was produced in Berlin and other German cities like Hamburg, Munich and Nuremberg. During the video some projects and excellence groups of the GPM are presented. One of them, besides the vice presidents, will be the GPM Young Crew - you can imagine how exited we were when we received a call and the invitation for the video shooting in Berlin! After a quite rough start due to the Berlin Marathon that day, we arrived at the SEgroup who was our host for the day and met Martin. The director of the movie who guided us into the magic and glamorous world of "Hollywood at home". Which was not as glamorous as expected, by the way. But anyways, it was a lot of fun, especially when we were semi professionally powdered by Aarti and Juergen struggled with the "black hole of the camera". The video will be in German only, but enjoy our photo stream "behind the scenes". We also met Gloria and Violetta - look forward to some news and fresh ideas from these ladies.
